We participated in the Open Eureka Innovation Week 2017, held from 15th to 19th May at the Barcelona International Convention Center (CCIB) and organized by the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI).
Open Eureka Innovation Week 2017 is the largest event in Spain on international technological cooperation close to the market and, in addition, the main act of promoting the current presidency of the EUREKA innovation network. It has been an excellent opportunity to establish strategic contacts, to find partners in other countries with whom to develop joint projects, to contact international investors and to obtain information on the technologies of the future.
During this five days, the CCIB received around 1000 companies from more than 40 countries that are currently part of EUREKA. There, we had the chance to participate in B2B sessions and matchmaking and training workshops to connect companies with international investors. In addition, we witnessed the delivery of the EUREKA Awards to the most innovative projects of the year and spaces for debate on the following technological areas: Green Technology, Digital Society and ICTs, Bioeconomics, Health and Biomedicine, Industry 4.0, New Materials and Transport and Infrastructures Smart.
Within the framework of the event, along with Jorge Mariano Jordán, Director of Cooperation and International Relations of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MINCyT) and representing the Argentine Chamber of Software (CESSI), we made a presentation on the software industry in our country and we hereby present a formal request for the integration of Argentina into EUREKA.
“The event allowed us to establish links with 27 innovative companies from different countries of the world, the possibility of establishing cooperation ties and materializing the sector’s desire to be part of Europe’s most important innovation network,” said José María Louzao, President of G&L and ALETI.
