The Impact of "Formando Mainframers" on New Generations

💬 “The Z platform drives the global economy. It currently processes 1,157,407 IBM transactions per second. This is an excellent time to be here because Argentina has a thriving ecosystem. A great deal of knowledge is generated in Argentina, and IBM Z services are exported from here,” said Mafer Martínez of IBM.

🤝 Next, Maria Laura Palacios, our CEO, emphasized the importance of our partnership with IBM. “We are a Tier 1 Gold Partner, and last year we were the top seller of IBM Z in Argentina. Demand in the job market is very high, which is why we’re working to train new professionals.”

👨‍💻👩‍💻 Now it was the turn of our IBM specialists. Marcos Rivara, Romina Herrera, and Marcelo Garcia Blanco shared their experiences with mainframes and the entire IBM suite in their various roles: Architecture, Management, Modernization, and Security.

We were also joined by Matias Greco and Gonzalo Javier Costilla, members of G&L’s Mainframe team, who participated in this exchange to share their knowledge and experience with the students.🔄 The students were able to chat one-on-one with our experts in a dynamic format that combined brief sessions, small groups, and plenty of opportunities to ask questions, learn, and connect.

Without a doubt, the students had a unique opportunity to discover what it's like to work in one of the industry's most critical, demanding, and challenging environments.

"Training Mainframers" reaffirms the G&L Group's commitment to training new talent and advancing the technology industry.

Continuing education and the development of new professionals are part of G&L Group’s vision to keep pace with the technological evolution of organizations. Initiatives such as “Formando Mainframers” strengthen the link between the industry, knowledge, and future generations of technology specialists.
